Terms of Service

1. The Service

Syltra AI provides AI-assisted timber measurement: from photographs of log piles, truck loads, or containers, the Service detects logs, estimates diameters and volumes, and produces related documentation such as reports and inventory summaries.

2. Accounts and organizations

You must provide accurate registration information and keep your credentials secure. Accounts belong to individuals; workspaces (organizations) are administered by their owners and admins, who control member access and roles. You are responsible for activity that occurs under your account.

3. Measurements are estimates

Measurements produced by the Service are automated estimates based on photographs and the parameters you provide (such as log length and volume formula). Accuracy depends on photo quality, scene conditions, and correct parameters. The Service includes review tools, and you are responsible for reviewing and approving results before relying on them for commercial, contractual, or regulatory purposes. Syltra AI does not warrant that any individual measurement is error-free and the Service is not a certified metrological instrument.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• use the Service in violation of applicable law, including forestry and timber-trade regulations;
• upload content you have no right to upload, or content that infringes third-party rights;
• attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, its infrastructure, or other customers' data;
• resell, sublicense, or provide the Service to third parties outside your organization without our written consent;
• use the Service, our models, or any outputs or data obtained through the Service to train, fine-tune, distill, or otherwise develop any machine-learning or AI model, whether a competing model or otherwise, including by scraping or automated extraction;
• interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service.

5. Plans and payment

The free plan is provided free of charge with the limits described on our pricing page. Paid plans (Pro, Enterprise) are contracted individually — contact us for an offer. Prices, billing terms, and plan limits for paid plans are set out in the applicable order or agreement.

6. Your content and data

You retain all rights to the content you upload (photographs, measurement data, organization data). You grant Syltra AI a limited license to host and process this content solely to provide and improve the Service. Processing of personal data is described in our Privacy Policy.

7. Intellectual property

The Service, including its software, models, design, and branding, is owned by Syltra AI or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property law. These Terms do not grant you any rights in the Service other than the right to use it as described here.

You may not use the Service, its models, its outputs, or any data obtained through it to train, fine-tune, or distill any machine-learning or AI model, nor to build a competing or derivative model or service. Model distillation and the automated harvesting of the Service's outputs or data for such purposes are expressly prohibited.

8. Availability and changes

We work to keep the Service available and reliable, but the Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of uninterrupted or error-free operation. We may modify features, and we may suspend or discontinue parts of the Service with reasonable notice where practicable.

9. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Syltra AI's total liability arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the amounts you paid for the Service in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim (or, for free plans, EUR 100). Syltra AI is not liable for indirect or consequential damages, loss of profit, or loss of data caused by factors outside its reasonable control. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

10. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for material breach of these Terms, with prior notice where reasonable. Upon termination, the data-retention rules in the Privacy Policy apply.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by Romanian law. Disputes that cannot be resolved amicably are subject to the competent courts of Bucharest, Romania. Mandatory consumer-protection rules of your country of residence remain unaffected where they apply.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and, for material changes, notify you through the Service or by email. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
