About Syltra AI

We are a group of researchers from academia. What started as a simple research idea grew, step by step, into Syltra AI.

Our work began in the lab, exploring how computer vision could turn an ordinary photograph of stacked timber into an accurate, defensible measurement. The problem proved harder — and more useful — than we expected, and the research kept pointing toward something people could actually use in the field.

Syltra AI is the result: a tool that measures log piles, truck loads, and containers from photos, estimates diameters and volumes, and produces the reports and inventory records that timber businesses rely on every day.

We still work like researchers. We care about accuracy, we measure our own error, and we improve our models with the same rigor we brought to our first experiments. Our goal is simple — to make timber measurement faster, fairer, and more transparent for everyone in the supply chain.
